Some say it’s a made up holiday by the greeting card companies to sell more cards. Maybe; but I say any time you can celebrate love it’s worth a few bucks for a card and some candy. I remember seeing mom getting candy from Dad and thinking…wow he does love her….he almost showed it with some emotion topped off with a gift.
I love you is easy to say if you try, and a gift is easy if money is not your object. Most worry about spending this or that on the perfect gift when all you need is to show the one you love your heart from time to time. The longer we live together the more we take for granted the little things; like a morning smile or a warm embrace; we forget the kiss good bye and I love you’s. The longer this happens the harder it is to remember that people need reaffirmation of love.
Remember your love and tell them I love you in more ways than one. Lift up the ones you love and they will hold you up when you need love in return.
